As the first Cook Island female student to ever be selected to represent Southland in the Pacific Youth Cup – it was a very excited SGHS student Rania Tuau-Mataiti who played for the Cook Islands u15 Maine team in Auckland over the holidays.
A demanding and relentless training schedule meant she was definitely tournament ready. Rania is also a member of the Canterbury U14’s girls Cook Island team who will play in the upcoming Pacific Islands series. A very humble student, we are grateful to her family who let the school know about these wonderful achievements.
Congratulations Rania on taking up these amazing opportunities – all the best for your upcoming games.
