Mitre 10 Tough Kids Event 2025

Your child has registered to participate in the Mitre 10 Toughkids Obstacle Course held at Surrey Park on Tuesday 18 November.

Date: Tuesday 18 November either morning or afternoon session

Time: 9am-3pm (it will be a morning or afternoon session to be confirmed)

Clothing and equipment : SGHS PE Uniform/Activity Top

Transport: We will be travelling to and from Surrey Park together on a Go Bus charter bus.

Cost: $10.00

Please Note: School procedures is full payment must be received by the due date for your child to be eligible to attend camp. If the payment and permission form is not completed by the due date your child will be withdrawn from attending camp. Once payment has been made and registrations have closed there will be no refunds.  Please Note: All payments will be allocated to any unpaid fees and charges on your child’s account first.

Venue: Surrey Park Athletics Ground

Adult Supervisors: Students will be supervised by Ashleigh Rabel and Nikki Gay as well as one other teacher/adult supervisor

This event is managed by Active Southland and contains risks, including common injuries like strains, sprains, bruises, and dislocations. This event is managed by Active Southland and SGHS will help to manage risk and hazards according to the school’s safety management plan. This includes careful consideration of the risks and all risks will be outlined to the students. While risks can be maintained to acceptable levels they cannot be completely eliminated. Some risk is retained for it learning and experiential value. It is important for safety reasons that students follow instructions given to them by Active Southland on the day as well as all adult supervisors and follow all appropriate school rules. Behaviour by students that is deemed dangerous and puts themselves and/or others at undue risk will result in parents/caregivers being called to collect their child and not being able to participate further.
