Year 12 Biology Trip Thomson’s Bush – 2025

As the Year 12 Biology students are looking at two ecological patterns this term. They include Stratification and Zonation.  As part of the learning in class we have Incorporated two field trips.  The second field trip is during class time to Thomson’s bush, Queens drive to study the Stratification pattern of plants and how the abiotic and biotic factors affect their distribution.  This field trip Is beneficial as the students can see another area of Invercargill and practise their work at school In another location.  We will use this field trip as a reassessment opportunity for their 4 credit Internal.
