Cricket

Year 7 – 9 Girls Smash Cricket

Girls Smash is aimed at growing participation in cricket for girls. The philosophy behind Girls Smash is that it is all about having fun and giving it a go. The best thing is that it’s playing with and against other girls and it doesn’t matter if they haven’t played before.  This is played in Term 1.

National Primary School Shield

This is a Twenty20 school-based competition for girls in Years 7 and 8.  The Otago/Southland competition commences in Term 1 with the winner progressing to the National Finals to be held in Term 4.

Year 9 – 13 Cricket (Gillette Venus Cup Competition)

The Otago/Southland competition commences in Term 1 with the winner progressing to the National Finals to be held in December in Palmerston North. All games are Twenty20.

The Otago winner is awarded the Bates Cup.
