NZCF’s The Big Sing Regional Final

Incredible performances from two of our talented choirs Sanguine and FEMME last night at the NZCF’s The Big Sing Regional Final.
Sanguine received a Commended Award and Femme was awarded a Highly Commended Award. The awards didn’t stop there with FEMME also receiving:
Best performance of a New Zealand Composition/Arrangement: Kihikihi
Best performance Choral Art Music (non-New Zealand): Ergen Deda
Best performance Open choice: I’ll Tell My Ma
The Big Sing Southland Region Best performance of a piece in Te Reo Māori: Kihikihi
Special acknowledgements to Miss Rae and Mr de Blois who work tirelessly with both choirs, sharing their skill and expertise with the students. A big thank you also to accompanists Lauren, Shaydon, Caylie and Sarah for their contributions and passion for the performances.
Our Head Student Maddison was a fabulous MC for the evening, and was skillfully supported by Sophia, Tiffany, Charliese and Ella.
The choirs (and the school community) now look forward to hearing which 24 choirs from throughout New Zealand are selected to attend the National Finale in Auckland later this year

  • Show courtesy and consideration to others.
  • Follow the rules and instructions of staff and other supervisors at the events.
  • Look after myself and my personal belongings.

  • My actions are considered unacceptable by staff / supervisors of these events.
