SGHS has been privileged to share a partnership with Tiwai Point Aluminium Smelter for the last 13 years.
This partnership allows our Senior students to access first hand experiences across a range of careers such as engineering, chemistry, physics and robotics.
Girls who attend this programme all generally end up at university studying one or more of these areas – it allows them to receive expert tuition outside of the classroom in the most practical of ways.
SGHS is incredibly grateful to the leadership team and staff at Tiwai Point for allowing our students over the years the opportunity to explore these careers.
We know the partnership has been instrumental in the numerous achievements many of our former alumni now achieve globally in all areas of engineering.
