As the only partnership of its kind in New Zealand, the chosen students have a week on site learning and getting up close to what a potential career in engineering could look like.

With a presentation to NZAS/SGHS staff the final component to the week – the standard of the girls projects was exceptional. The comment was made it’s very easy to forget that they have only been there for a week such is the knowledge they gain in such a short time.

As the latest graduates of this very special programme, we are confident that each of the students will finish the week eager to explore the endless possibilities a career pathway in engineering could bring.

A big thank you to the wonderful management team and staff at NZAS, and to Mrs Gericke, Miss Shaw and the other staff members of the SGHS science department for encouraging the girls to take up this important opportunity.
