The students in our Global Minds classes have a new project underway and it’s one that hopefully will bring some cheer to those who need it most.
Elder abuse is unfortunately something that is in our communities and affects those who can be most vulnerable.
In an effort to raise both awareness of the issue and also recognise and celebrate our elderly community members this Easter, the girls are asking our students and wider school community to bring donations of Easter eggs to school.
Drop off points are:
* Student Services
* The school library
* Global Minds students will be visiting classes during Period 3 this Friday
The donations will then be distributed by Age Concern Southland next week to deserving members of the community.
We are so proud of the girls and their continued efforts to be good citizens and show support to agencies that do incredible work.
