Global Minds Book Swap
Part of our learning focus at Southland Girls High School is to make our learning count and build our capacity as global citizens to make positive change in our communities.
The Global Perspectives class held a book swap today to encourage students to bring a book no longer in use and swap for a book for themselves or a whanau member for the holidays.
This social action helped us promote the United Nations Sustainable Development goals alongside a love of reading. It was a highlight for the team that led the project today to see students from throughout the school get involved and thank you to Mrs McIntyre for hosting us in the library.
