Today we celebrate our amazing SGHS Librarian Mrs McIntyre’s Achievement!
During the weekend, Paula attended the SLANZA (School Library Association of NZ) conference. At the awards evening, she was nominated for the SLANZA School Librarian Award. This came as a complete surprise to Paula, but what made it even better was that she won and became the deserving recipient of the School Librarian Award!
Her award reads “Southland Girls’ High School Library under Paula’s stewardship is truly one of the school’s precious taonga. Paula is caring, generous and empathetic with the students and supports her colleagues with kindness and warmth. Everyone associated with SGHS values the environment and culture she brings through her work as a school librarian”
Congratulations to Mrs McIntyre on this well-deserved recognition! We are super proud of her achievement and dedication to our school library. Anyone who has had the pleasure dealing with Paula will agree, she is such a huge asset to our school!
