Each year we celebrate our senior students who achieve at a high level whether it be sporting, academic, cultural or the performing arts – successful students attend an awards evening where they are able to invite their whanau to the school and are presented with the school colours.
Each students involvement varies – for some it may be performances at a high level combined with giving back to the school community via coaching or mentoring other students. For others it may be consistently achieving at local and regional levels – and sometimes in more than one discipline.
All of the students awarded the school colours share the same qualities – hard work, talent, passion and a commitment to showing up and giving 100% each time.
We must also recognise the contribution that the individual teachers who are in charge of the sports make to the girls, the coaches and managers for giving up their time and knowledge, and perhaps most importantly the families of the girls who make it possible for them to follow their passions.
Congratulations girls – we know you will wear the stripes with pride on your blazers.
