The “Hautoka ki Otakou Murihiku Kapa Haka Competition” is a regional Kapa Haka competition for secondary schools in Otago and Southland. It’s considered the premier Kapa Haka event in the region and serves to celebrate and encourage excellence in Te Reo Māori and Māori performing arts. We are combining with Southland Boys High School who have one staff member attending and Southland Girls High School have Whaea Marama and Charlie Brightwell attending with the students.
