Dates: 20-22 March including travel

Travel: SGHS School and Enwood Van

Time: Depart SGHS at 7.30am to Christchurch ETA home Sunday 22 March approximately 10pm at the latest.

Clothing and Equipment: SGHS touch singlet, navey shorts, running shoes or touch boots. SGHS school jacket, activity top and navy trackpants are options for travel and warm up clothing.

Venue: Games played at Burnside Park

Accommodation: Airport Gateway Motel 45 Roydvale Ace, Burnside Christchurch

Please note: Board financial procedure requires payment in full, by the due date for your child to purchase resources, participate in sports or attend trips/events. Payments received will be allocated to the oldest unpaid fees and charges owing on your child’s account first. Extra-curricular activities operate on a “pay before you play” policy.

This event contains risks associated with travel and sport, including road travel and common injuries like strains, sprains, bruises and dislocations. This competition is managed by Te Waipounamu, SGHS will help to manage risk and hazards according to the school’s safety management plan. This includes careful consideration of the risks and all risks outlined by players, spectators, and surroundings. While risks can be maintained to acceptable levels they cannot be totally eliminated. Some risk is retained for its learning and experiential value. It is important for safety reasons that students follow instructions given to them by all Te Waipounamu staff, their teams Coach/Manager, and follow all appropriate school rules. Behaviour by students that is deemed dangerous and puts themselves and/or others at undue risk will be sent home at the cost of the parents/caregivers being contacted and the student unable to participate further.
