A huge thank you to to Kate Breach and the New Zealand Space Agency for visiting us to celebrate the success of a number of students who entered the NASA Scientist for a Day essay competition.
And it was second time around winning the competition for Year 8 student Sophie Ineson. Her prize was a pretty swanky looking telescope which is identical to an earlier prize she won – so Sophie has donated the telescope to the Deep Cove Trust. This means that all school camps travelling into the camp will be able to see the incredible skies that exist there.
Congratulations to all our successful students and Sophie for demonstrating the school values with your kind donation.
