Changing the Face of Dance – Year 8/9

The Year 8/9 Changing the Face of Dance team took part in the 2021 Global Social Leaders competition. Schools globally created entries linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The group started this project in November last year. The team aimed to reduce inequalities in dance and raise awareness of the health benefits of dance to peers.

The team consisted of Dani Kramers, Sophie Ineson, Taylor Kirk, Tyla Robinson (absent from photo pictured) and Amelie Forrester.

A huge congratulations to the team they won the following awards; this was out of 448 teams globally! Your hard work and perseverance shone through. Also, to Mrs Ineson, who supported them during this competition.

  • Semi-Finalists in Global Social leaders competition.
  • Junior Stand Out Award.
  • Digital Technology Award ( Year 9/10) section at the Social Sciences fair.
