Last week we were privileged to host Georgia from the Student Volunteer Army Service award team. Georgia presented a session to our Global Minds class looking at volunteering and how it links to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These goals encourage us to make a difference in our local and national communities while contributing as a Global Citizen.
The students looked at the skills required and the importance of different roles of a volunteering team.
Georgia followed this up with a presentation to Yr 7-13 students during lunchtime. She explained the award scheme and the importance of celebrating service to build the capacity in our communities.
Congratulations to Taylor, Charlee and Charlotte who were presented their bronze awards with other students receiving their membership badges.
