We are excited that our Kapa Haka year is about to begin. We will make every effort to ensure that your child’s kapa haka experience is positive and fun. In order for your child to be part of Kapa Haka you will need to complete the permission form below. Below is the proposed dates for practice, venues and events. There will be a cost which covers materials and transport to and form local events. There is a separate cost for out of town events. You will be notified about these events close to the time. Below is an outlined of events for the year. You will see there are some event that have no dates or times confirmed. Once we received the information for these events will notify you as soon as practicable.

• Please note: Board financial procedure requires payment in full, by the due date for your child to purchase resources, participate in sports or attend trips/events. Payments received will be allocated to the oldest unpaid fees and charges owing on your child’s account first. Extra-curricular activities operate on a “pay before you play” policy.

This event contains risks, including Public Spaces  This event is supervised by school staff who will manage risk and hazards according to the school’s safety management plan.  This includes careful planning for managing risks during all events and sufficient staff and adult supervision for all events.  While risks can be maintained to acceptable levels they cannot be totally eliminated.  Some risk is retained for its learning and experiential value.  If you wish to come in to school to see our safety management systems or have any questions, feel free to contact Marama Davis  on 03 2116030 or [email protected]

It is important for safety reasons that students follow instructions given to them by all staff and follow all appropriate school rules. Behaviour by students that is deemed dangerous and puts themselves and/or others at undue risk will result in your child being sent home at the cost of the parent/ caregivers.
