SISS Rugby 7s and Condors National 7s Tournament

South Island Secondary Schools Rugby 7s CupĀ 

Date: 31 October – 1 November

Accommodation: Farmyard Holiday Park, 22/50 Elmslie Rd Geraldine

Transport: The team will travel to Geraldine via a Go Bus hire vans and school vans the day prior to the competition commencing and will return after their last game of the tournament.

Clothing and equipment: SGHS rugby jersey, SGHS rugby shorts, mouthguard, rugby boots, SGHS rugby socks, SGHS warm up top, navy trackpants, SGHS jacket for travelling and games. As well as casual clothes and personal items

Venue: Games will be held at Geraldine Rugby Park

2025 Condors National 7s TournamentĀ 

Date: 26 November – 30 November

Accommodation: Harbourview Motel and Apartments

Transport: Air NZ flights Wednesday 26 November and return Sunday 30 November and hire vans

Venue: Blake Park

This event contains risks, including those associated with travel e.g. flying and the use of public and private transport, injuries associated with the sport of rugby such as soft tissue and impact injuries such as broken bones, strains and concussion, and accidents that could happen during their daily activities e.g. falls, cuts and knocks.Ā  This event is managed by school staff who will manage risk and hazards according to the school’s safety management plan.Ā  This includes careful adhering to the itinerary, ensuring that all safety precautions are followed in accordance with the law, and appropriate supervision and monitoring of the entire group well-being.Ā  While risks can be maintained to acceptable levels they cannot be totally eliminated.Ā  Some risk is retained for its learning and experiential value.Ā  If you wish to come in to school to see our safety management systems or have any questions, feel free to contact Ashleigh Rabel 03 211 6030 or [email protected]

It is important for safety reasons that students follow instructions given to them by SC Rugby, referees and team coach and follow all appropriate school rules. Behaviour by students that is deemed dangerous and puts themselves and/or others at undue risk will result in your daughter facing disciplinary actions on their return or sent home at the cost of the whānau/parents or caregivers.
