We recently had five Year 7 and 8 students represent SGHS in the Cluster Finals of the Creative Southland Speech competition.
Exciting results with Sophia J (Year 8 being awarded first place and Maisie W (Year 7) awarded second place.
With only two students able to progress through the Area Final, we are extremely proud of both Sophia and Maisie.
Sophia humoured the audience with her speech about the benefits of being short while Maisie educated the audience with her speech about the brain. Both speeches were delivered with a real knowledge of their chosen topics and creative flair!
We wish Sophia and Maisie all the very best for the next round!
