Congratulations on being selected to be part of the ANNIE JR. cast for this year’s Junior Production. Below is important information that you need to know. Please read it carefully.
For your child to be part of this production please read through the following information and complete the form below – due by Monday 19 October 2026.
ANNIE JR has a SHORT REHEARSAL PERIOD of SIX weeks once we come back at the start of term four. ATTENDANCE is CRUCIAL. To participate we need you at ALL designated rehearsals. If you know that there is a rehearsal you are unable to attend in addition to what you signalled on your booking form, you must give Miss Rae prior warning in writing. You can either email Miss Rae at [email protected] or text her on 021 471 511. Failure to apologise on two occasions will see you removed from the cast.
You are important, and we need all cast members showing the same level of commitment. This is a team effort, and every person matters. We know you can do it.
REHEARSAL RESOURCES
- You will have received your script at the read through or been told where you can access a script on the website under Rehearsal Resources
- Photocopied sections of the script will be provided to Ensemble and Ensemble / Dancers
- Many of you will know the role you are to play. A scene breakdown will be provided so you know what scenes you are involved in. There are a number of cameo roles to be decided, and this will be done as soon as possible once rehearsals start.
REHEARSALS
All rehearsals will be held at SGHS in Theatre on Tweed. Times for rehearsals each week:
- Monday: 3.30pm – 5.30pm
- Wednesday: 3.30pm – 5.30pm
- Sunday: 3.30pm – 5.30pm
- Labour Weekend: There is NO rehearsal on Sunday 25 October. There is however still a rehearsal on Monday, 26 October from 3.30pm – 5.30pm.
IMPORTANT
From Monday, 19 October you will not necessarily be required at every rehearsal as we block scenes for ALL speaking roles. A rehearsal schedule will come out with specific scenes to be covered and the cast members who are required. These will be emailed to you as well as being put on the website. Keep an eye out over the holidays for the first schedule which will come out week two of the break. Please note that Sundays are guaranteed to be FULL CAST. In the first week of rehearsals next term we will be learning ALL music for the show.
