Date: Thursday 25 June

Transport: Bus from school to ILT stadium and return by 3:10pm.

Uniform: PE top and either red netball skirt or shorts

Bring: enough food for the day, sports shoes, and drink bottle

Students: Are to meet at SGHS for roll call. They will be transported to the stadium via bus and will rotate games with their coaches. At the end of the day, teams ill head back to school on the bus where they can be collected as normal at 3.10pm

Cost: $22.00.  Please pay by Thursday 11 June. Please note: Board financial procedure requires payment in full, by the due date for your child to purchase resources, participate in sports or attend trips/events. Payments received will be allocated to the oldest unpaid fees and charges owing on your child’s account first. Extra-curricular activities operate on a “pay before you play” policy.

Netball contains risks, including common injuries like strains, sprains, bruises and dislocations. This competition is managed by the Invercargill Netball Centre and SGHS will help to manage risk and hazards according to the school’s safety management plan. This includes careful consideration for the risks, and all risks will be outlined to the students. While risks can be maintained to acceptable levels they cannot be totally eliminated. Some risk is retained for its learning and experiential value. If you wish to come into school to see our safety management systems or have any questions, feel free to contact me.

It is important for safety reasons that students follow instructions given to them by Invercargill Netball Centre, referees and teach coach/manager and follow all appropriate school rules. behaviour by students that is deemed dangerous and puts themselves and/or others at undue risk will result in parents/caregivers being called to collect their child and not being able to participate further.
