We are very excited that our talented young actors have won the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Regional Competition; it was a well deserved placing as they have shown commitment and passion in the preparation and performance of the scene from ‘Twelfth Night’.
This means that the group has been selected to attend the National Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Competition in Wellington. The festival will be held over King’s Birthday weekend at various venues in Wellington, including Victoria University, Wellington East Girls’ School and St James Theatre. The weekend will consist of theatre workshops and the performances, from which the finalists will be selected for the finale. One fortunate young actor will also be selected to attend the Globe Theatre in London.
Dates: The plan is to leave early on Friday 30th May after the Senior Production finishes on the 30th May and return on Monday 2nd June.
Transport: Flights and accommodation TBC
Clothing: Full winter school uniform
Venues: Victoria University, Wellington East Girls’ School and St James Theatre
