Year 7/8 Insights Learning Package

Your child has expressed an interest to join our first inSiGHtS @ Year 7/8 Learning Package. This is an exciting choice to challenge opportunity with other Year 7 and 8 students who share a similar passion.

This learning package for Term two will be linked to the Keep New Zealand Beautiful – “Young Reporters Litter Less Programme”.

The students will be asked to pick an environmental topic relating to litter, waste and /or environmental pollution, investigate it, and then report on it using the categories of writing and photography.

As an inSiGHtS team, the students will plan an action day where they will share their ideas and projects to raise awareness of an environmental issue within our school and our community.

The students will be supported to set personal development goals linked to the talent aptitudes of:

  • Curiosity
  • Insight
  • Persistence
  • Metacognition
  • Resourcefulness
  • Communication
  • Leadership

There will be two classes over a fortnight for Year 8 students and one class for Year 7 students.

Please complete the permission form below if you are happy for your child to join this inSiGHtS @ Year 7/8 group by Monday 9 May 2022.

If you have any questions about the programme, please contact the Teacher in Charge, Mrs Sharee Ineson: [email protected]
