Your child has been selected to attend the Annual Readers Cup Competition.  They will be in a team of 5 students who will be quizzed on 6 specific books they have been asked to read over the past few months, they will be competing against other local high schools.

Please read through the following information below and complete the permission form – due 1 June 2022.

• Date: Monday 4 July 2022
• Time: 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm. Students need to be at the Ascot Hotel by 3:45 pm and collected at 5:30 pm from the Ascot Hotel.
• Venue: Ascot Park Hotel, Cnr of Tay and Racecourse Road, Invercargill.
• Who: 5 x Year 9 SGHS students.  Whānau is welcome to come and watch the competition.
• Uniform requirements: SGHS winter uniform to be worn. The venue may require facemasks to be worn inside.
• Transport: students can make their own way to and from the venue.  If they are requiring transport please indicate this on the form below.  Mrs McMcIntyre and Mrs Ineson will be taking their cars to the event and can transport the students there.
• Cost: No cost to enter.
