As part of the National 1st XV Rugby Championship we have an opportunity to compete in the Highlanders 1st XV Girls Final. To qualify for this we have to beat any other Southland school entry.
In 2022 it is the turn of the Otago qualifiers turn to host the fixture. Once the two teams have been found the two schools will negotiate a suitable date and time for the fixture. We expect this game to take place sometime during the two week range of 8 – 20 August 2022.
If we are fortunate enough to qualify we will inform whanau via email as soon as we have negotiated that date and had it approved by the SGHS Senior Leadership Team.
If we do qualify we will require two whanau volunteers to drive the two school vans to the Otago venue. Please indicate on the form below if you might be able to assist. Nathan Muir will be in touch if we do qualify. Volunteers will need to be police vetted prior to game day – SGHS will provide forms for this.
Please read through the following information below and complete the permission form below – due by Friday 5 August 2022.
If you have any questions regarding this please get in touch with our Teacher in Charge, Mr Nathan Muir; [email protected]
