Debate Challenge 2022

SGHS is pleased to host our first Debate Challenge. Students have been practising debating in teams weekly this year, this is our first opportunity to have a go at debating against teams from other schools. We have invited teams from James Hargest College, Verdon College, and Southland Boys’ High School, to come and challenge their debating skills against our teams.

Each team will be given a moot and a side and will have some time to prepare before they go up against a team from their division (either Junior or Senior) from another school. They will receive feedback from the adjudicators and get to listen to other teams debate as well. This will help our teams prepare for the Regional Debates later in the year.
